Apply

We invite all early-career researchers in the United States who lead, or plan to lead, a lab or research team to apply. Compass is open to all early-career faculty (e.g., assistant professors, instructors) and postdocs in the United States, offering unique tracks for each career stage. Associate professors, staff scientists, and other leaders of research teams have also found Compass valuable.

The Compass curriculum and tools are designed for researchers across varied disciplines, including but not limited to basic and translational sciences, public health, and behavioral/social research. Additionally, we welcome Scholars from disciplines such as medicine, engineering, and agriculture. We seek people from varied backgrounds, experiences, and disciplines to join our collaborative learning community.

Seats are filled on a rolling basis. Those interested should apply early to secure a spot.

We are not currently accepting new applications, but the next application cycle will open soon!

We anticipate running Faculty and Postdoc Track cohorts in fall 2026, spring 2027, and beyond!

Researchers within one year of completing their postdoctoral training are also welcome to enroll in the Faculty Track.

Postdoc Track

All postdoctoral researchers in the United States are eligible to participate. Researchers within one year of completing their postdoctoral training and plan to become faculty or lead a research team are encouraged to enroll in the Faculty Track.
